About the Role

As a Graduate Sustainability Consultant, you will join one of the UK’s largest building engineering consultancies, collaborating with highly skilled engineers and specialists on progressive, high-profile projects such as Canolfan Pentre Awel in Carmarthen, Multi-Megawatt Data Centre Campus, Oxford North, One Piccadilly Gardens, Gwynfaen, and the net-zero neighbourhood of Earls Court in London.
Your day-to-day tasks will vary, exposing you to all aspects of sustainability consultancy to help you discover your strengths. You will work on live projects from day one across diverse sectors including healthcare, hotels, retail, and residential. Responsibilities include undertaking building performance simulation and energy-related workstreams using various modelling tools and techniques, developing energy strategies with clients to lead sustainability innovation, assisting in environmental assessments (BREEAM, WELL, HQM), supporting whole life carbon reporting for Net Zero Carbon strategies, conducting site surveys, researching innovative technologies, and contributing to continuous professional development.
Beyond project work, you may engage in research and development studies, author industry guidance, and participate in national design commissions and influential industry bodies. Communication with project teams, clients, and stakeholders is a key part of the role, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing.

Experience
Previous placement or work experience in a similar industry is advantageous but not essential.

Qualifications
- Expected or achieved 2.1 or above degree (or equivalent) in Engineering, Architecture, Built Environment, or a related discipline
- A Masters or relevant postgraduate qualification is advantageous but not required
- Knowledge or awareness of BREEAM, WELL, Whole Life Carbon, and Energy Modelling is a plus
