As a Graduate Sustainability Consultant, you will be exposed to all aspects of our work to discover your strengths. Your day-to-day tasks may include working on live projects across various sectors including healthcare, hotels, retail, and residential; undertaking building performance simulation and energy-related workstreams using diverse modelling tools and techniques; developing energy strategies to lead sustainability innovation; assisting in environmental assessments such as BREEAM, WELL, and HQM from early design through to completion; gaining knowledge of whole life carbon reporting to support Net Zero Carbon strategies; conducting site surveys; researching innovative technologies; and supporting the development of holistic Sustainability Strategies.

Beyond project work, you may engage in research and development studies, author industry guidance, and participate in national design commissions and influential industry bodies. Communication is key, as you will liaise regularly with project teams, clients, end users, and attend collaborative meetings.

Requirements

Experience
Previous placement or work experience in a similar industry is advantageous but not essential.

About you
You are serious about sustainability and possess excellent communication, analytical, and organisational skills. You work well both independently and in a team environment. You are friendly, ambitious, confident, flexible, and resilient. You have an appreciation of broader sustainability issues including governance, reporting, climate change adaptation, and behaviour change.

Qualifications
An expected or achieved 2.1 or above degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Architecture, the Built Environment, or a related discipline is required. A Masters or other relevant postgraduate qualification is advantageous but not necessary. Knowledge or awareness of one or more of the following is beneficial: BREEAM, WELL, Whole Life Carbon, Energy Modelling.
