About the Role
Equans is seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our team on a permanent basis. This junior role offers exposure within the Facilities Management (FM) industry, supporting the Commercial resource team on the HMCTS contract where Equans completes Project Works. You will assist with contract commercial management services, profit improvement, and compliance, while supporting growth initiatives on existing contracts and new business development. Your responsibilities will include assisting the Quantity Surveyor (QS) with commercial administration and management across multiple live projects, managing subcontract procurement and accounts, conducting contract risk and opportunity assessments, and preparing documentation for valuations and procurement. You will also support cost control, monitor payments to ensure timely cash flow, assist with contractual issues, and participate in project and company meetings. This role requires travel to various sites and head offices within the geographical area.

Experience
- Suitable commercial experience within a similar industry sector such as construction or project management
- Some experience in a similar role is desirable

- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Confident and adaptable communication style with excellent verbal communication skills
- Good level of numeracy skills
- IT proficient with MS Office, Excel, Project, Word etc.
Qualifications
- Educated to degree level in Quantity Surveying or equivalent
- Evidence of right to work in the UK is required
