About the Role
Equans is seeking a Maintenance & Building Services Technician to join our team in Central London. In this full-time role, you will provide essential support to the Engineering Team, including out-of-hours work when required. Your responsibilities will include supporting compliance and statutory inspections, fabric maintenance, reactive repairs, and FCU maintenance. You will assist with furniture moves and changes, meeting room setups, event management, exhibitions, and flat pack furniture assembly. Additionally, you will undertake painting, decorating, shelving erection, and installation of power and data cabling. Engineering support tasks such as air filter replacements, water hygiene checks, fire alarm tests, and electrical shutdowns will also be part of your duties. You will carry out daily site inspections, report defects, and support health and safety updates. Supporting quality assurance, compliance checks, general housekeeping (both front and back of house), responding to CAFM tasks, submitting paperwork timely, and assisting with servicing and breakdowns related to fabric and handyman tasks are also key aspects of this role.

Experience
Good knowledge and experience of MEP services and fabric repair techniques. Basic electrical work knowledge or willingness to be trained. Experience or qualifications in carpentry, building, or general building services are required.

Qualifications
Carpentry/building/general qualifications in building services. Hold or be willing to obtain a recognized health and safety qualification. Basic understanding of L8 or willingness to be trained. Background checks including Disclosure checks or security vetting may be required depending on the role. A criminal record will not necessarily prevent employment.
