About the Role

Within our Transportation Sector, we are seeking an experienced Associate Director to lead a key Local Authority account and help shape the future of highways, regeneration, and infrastructure delivery across the region.

This senior client leadership role involves managing and growing a strategically important Local Authority account within our Project Management and Commercial Management service lines. You will maintain excellent client relationships, ensure high-quality delivery, and support sustainable account growth. Acting as a trusted advisor to senior Local Authority stakeholders, you will also play a key leadership role internally.

The role covers Highways & Transportation Capital Delivery, Regeneration, Infrastructure, and Highway Asset Management. You will contribute to framework bids, tenders, and fee proposals, collaborate with other disciplines to deliver integrated solutions, and provide leadership across a portfolio of commissions. Additionally, you will line-manage, mentor, and support junior and mid-level staff, promoting best practices and acting as a role model for Arcadis’ values and standards.

Experience
- Proven experience within a construction consultancy or professional services environment.
- Strong background supporting Local Authority highways, regeneration, and wider public-sector clients.
- Demonstrated understanding of public-sector procurement, governance, and framework delivery.
- Successful track record delivering complex infrastructure, transportation, or regeneration programmes.
- Experience growing client relationships and managing strategic accounts.

About you
You are a confident and credible senior professional with excellent stakeholder management skills. You understand Local Authority governance and procurement procedures and can build and sustain trusted relationships with senior officers and procurement teams. You are a collaborative leader who supports team development, resource planning, and performance management while maintaining a strong personal delivery record.

Qualifications
- Chartered status with RICS, CIOB, APM, or ICE, or actively working towards chartership.
- Degree in a relevant construction, engineering, commercial, or built environment discipline.
