About the Role
Help us create a better future, quicker. As Business Improvement and Channel Development Manager, you will lead the design, delivery, and optimisation of new and existing sales channels across ScottishPower’s Customer Business portfolio. This pivotal role drives commercial growth by embedding scalable processes, enhancing operational efficiency, and enabling high-performing channel activity across all Domestic customer segments. You will oversee the identification and development of new routes to market while ensuring continuous improvement in channel performance and partner engagement.

Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will represent the sales function in strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with business priorities and delivering measurable impact. Key responsibilities include identifying, developing, and implementing new sales channels from concept to launch to support sales targets across the full ScottishPower product and service portfolio; developing bespoke contact strategies for prospect partners/businesses; scoping channel or partner capability aligned to commercial models; consulting with senior leadership on financial modelling; operationally leading business governance for new sales channels and market prospects; acting as sales lead for strategic partnership integration; ensuring compliance with ScottishPower standards and governance; concluding contract negotiations to maximise protections; developing end-to-end value cases and process designs; managing UK-wide contact strategies across multiple sectors; implementing propositions with sales channels; and managing a team of managers to deliver solutions.

This role requires strong leadership, commercial acumen, and the ability to influence a wide portfolio of stakeholders, including senior leaders and external partners. Flexibility, proactive change management, and excellent communication skills are essential to succeed in this fast-moving environment shaped by emerging markets, evolving customer expectations, and shifting industry and regulatory landscapes.
