About the Role
This important role supports Balfour Beatty’s Sustainability Strategy and is key to delivering company and client carbon reduction targets. You will provide carbon forecasting, reporting support, and data capture/analysis services on the LTC project to meet reduction targets and carbon budgets. The role ensures carbon data is structured in preconstruction and delivery phases to facilitate collection and aggregation of consistent, comparable, and meaningful data for benchmarking. You will support and drive innovation at regional and project levels to meet our carbon commitments.
What you'll be doing
Undertake carbon baselining and forecasting on live projects to ensure carbon estimates are complete, use tailored carbon factors where available, and are auditable for PAS 2080 compliance. Provide carbon analysis from Candy or support others to do so, enabling preconstruction and delivery teams to understand hotspots and focus areas for carbon reductions. Support development of processes to collate actual carbon data from in-flight projects. Ensure carbon benchmarking data is periodically fed back into benchmarking during preconstruction and delivery stages, with checks for consistency and accuracy. Utilise Moata or similar tools for carbon reporting to clients. Promote the use of common coding, standardised templates, and processes to facilitate data collection for benchmarking.
