About the Role
Join Stantec’s Rivers and Coastal team and contribute to some of the largest and most important flood risk management projects in the UK. You will be involved in the design and management of a diverse range of river and coastal projects including Nature-based Solutions (NBS), flood risk management schemes, river engineering, lowland drainage, and strategic developments for public and private sector clients. Your responsibilities will include preparing designs, specifications and reports for flood risk management schemes and river/coastal engineering, managing design information throughout all project stages from concept to construction, and supporting construction through technical queries and inspections. You will liaise with key stakeholders such as the Environment Agency, Natural England, and Marine Management Organisation to obtain necessary consents, as well as collaborate with clients, contractors and multidisciplinary teams. Additionally, you will support the growth of the team by mentoring and developing early career professionals. Experience
- Relevant industry degree
- Chartered professional status or close to application
- Previous responsible experience in relevant design roles
- Experience working with multiple disciplines on design and specification
- Experience supervising and monitoring construction works with contractors
- AutoCAD experience is an advantage
