Salary
Up to £66,600 per year plus excellent overtime opportunities (Saturday x1.5 hrs, Sunday x2 hrs) and a strong benefits package including a pension scheme with double matched contributions up to 10%

About the Role
The Construction Manager will play a key role within the Strategic Projects business, managing Construction Team resources and outputs throughout Development, Procurement, Delivery, and Closure phases for Strategic Overhead Line (OHL) projects. You will lead construction activities from concept to project closure within an EPC model, ensuring compliance with CAPEX budgets and regulatory requirements including Health and Safety Law, Construction Design and Management regulations 2015, and Environmental Legislation.

Key responsibilities include directing construction delivery as the client representative, managing environmental and sustainability regulatory requirements, supporting commercial management to control CAPEX risk, and overseeing interfaces across supply, civil, electrical, cable, and OHL packages. You will also be responsible for line management, coaching, and mentoring of the onsite construction management team, including trainee site managers.

Experience
- Strong knowledge and experience in construction and commissioning of overhead lines, including access development, foundation installation, tower assembly and erection (wood pole and towers), wiring, re-insulation, re-spacering, re-conductoring, tower painting, and reinstatement works.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and teams including external stakeholders, multi-disciplined teams, and contractors.
- Experience in contract management, including control and agreement of variations and claims.
- Strong awareness of NEC / FIDIC Conditions of Contract.
- Knowledge of specification, design, maintenance, construction, and commissioning within existing or new SPT assets.
- Experience working as a Construction or Site Manager for 132kV or above OHL works.
