About the Role
Join Iberdrola Renewables as a Lead Asset Modelling Engineer within the Distribution Asset Management team, playing a key role in maintaining a safe and reliable network now and for the future. The Asset Modelling team is expanding to enhance existing processes and develop new models using Python, R, VBA, Excel, and Access to determine asset risk and inform modernisation plans and prioritisation across the network.
As Lead Engineer, you will ensure visibility and optimise the performance of power assets, contributing to a greener, more sustainable future while supporting the development of future business plans for the RIIO-ED3 price control.
Your responsibilities will include improving asset health models, enhancing corporate asset data through analysis and visualisation, and deriving insights to manage the Distribution Network (LV – 132kV). You will collaborate with expert asset engineers to develop models aligned with relevant strategies, policies, and RIIO-ED2 business plans for the SPD/SPM networks, minimising system, economic, safety, and environmental risks. Additionally, you will support the development of RIIO-ED3 business plan strategies for regulatory submission.
Reporting directly to the Asset Modelling Manager, you will lead and execute specific workstream deliverables within the Asset Management & Investment Team, supporting the analysis, development, and implementation of work packages to maintain a safe and reliable network that enables wider Net Zero ambitions.
