Join our Lenders & Investors Transaction Advisory team as a Monitoring Surveyor (Consultant or Senior Consultant), specialising in data centre and mission-critical developments. You will support the delivery of development monitoring and technical due diligence commissions for lenders, investors, and funding stakeholders across the UK, Europe, and international markets. This role offers the opportunity to develop specialist data centre expertise while working on complex digital infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities include delivering development monitoring and technical due diligence across data centre and digital infrastructure projects, reviewing project budgets, cost plans, programmes, procurement strategies, contracts, and key project documentation. You will identify and report risks relating to cost, programme, planning, utilities, procurement, quality, and delivery, with a focus on data centre-specific risks such as power, cooling, MEP integration, commissioning, and operational readiness. The role involves preparing monitoring reports, progress updates, and funding recommendations, undertaking site inspections, monitoring progress against programme, budget and funding conditions, reviewing drawdown requests, cost reports, change control and cash flow information, and coordinating multidisciplinary technical inputs to provide integrated advice. You will also support client meetings, technical reviews, and business development activities. At Senior Consultant level, you will support the delivery of smaller commissions or defined workstreams.

Experience
Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Building Surveying, Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering or a related discipline. Experience in development monitoring, technical due diligence, quantity surveying, cost consultancy, project management or a related consultancy discipline. Experience of data centres, mission-critical facilities, industrial developments or other complex MEP-led projects is advantageous. Understanding of construction delivery, procurement routes, contracts, project controls and development funding structures. Ability to assess project information, identify risks and produce concise written reports. Willingness to travel within the UK and internationally as required.

Motivated to develop specialist expertise in data centre and digital infrastructure projects. Adaptable and willing to travel as needed.

Qualifications
MRICS qualified, working towards MRICS, or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
