About the Role
Join us in shaping the future of renewable energy. As a Senior Protection & Control Engineer, you will lead the design and integration of advanced Protection, Control and Metering (PCM) systems for large-scale offshore wind farms, ensuring technical excellence and compliance with international and industry standards. Your work will directly contribute to delivering clean energy to millions of homes.
You will ensure PCM systems are designed and delivered in accordance with regulations, relevant industry standards, and best practices. Managing and technically leading PCM systems from tendering through all execution phases, you will collaborate with Contract Managers to secure best value and minimise costs and risks. You will ensure consistency, technical safety, and coordination of designs developed by various contractors involved in the windfarm project.
Managing interfaces with contractors, consultants, and internal teams, you will provide professional advice on engineering technical aspects and risk levels, ensuring cost-effective solutions are identified. You will justify technical decisions with full documentation and ensure sufficient technical and commercial due diligence.
Leading and coordinating project engineers, consultants, and contractors, you will deliver the project package, ensuring adequate testing is passed before system delivery to site, including witnessing inspections and Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) at contractor facilities. Supporting commissioning activities, you will ensure assets are effectively commissioned for transfer into the Operations & Maintenance phase, with full adherence to Health and Safety and Environmental requirements in design.
Experience
Proven experience in Protection, Control and Metering system design and specification, including protection philosophy, control architecture, and I/O lists. Demonstrated track record in managing PCM contracts, including cost, risk, and stakeholder coordination.

Qualifications
Educated to degree level in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
