About the Role
Join the Revenue Management team at Iberdrola Renewables, playing a pivotal role within UK Operations to manage ScottishPower’s Revenue Protection Service (RPS) obligations across the UK. This highly skilled position is essential in identifying and remedying energy theft cases for both gas and electricity, supporting Debt Operations with field activities including gas meter installations to manage outstanding debts. Energy theft is illegal and poses serious safety risks such as explosion, fire, or electrocution. As a Revenue Protection Dual Fuel Technician, you will be at the forefront of mitigating these risks.

You will ensure Health and Safety remains the top priority, applying business policies rigorously. Your duties will include visiting Residential, SME, and Industrial & Commercial properties to investigate energy theft, installing, maintaining, removing, and repairing low and medium pressure gas supplies and low voltage metering including Smart meters, up to and including live working. You will support industry theft calculators by understanding domestic and commercial gas appliances, liaise with Distribution Network Operators and Gas Transporters to resolve network issues, and engage with SP Energy Networks to investigate complex wiring configurations.

Additional responsibilities include supporting Quality teams with Workplace Reference Manual updates, ensuring compliance with Supply Licence Conditions and regulatory obligations, and delivering high-quality performance to meet Electricity and Gas Theft Detection Incentive Scheme targets. You will work closely with Police and Emergency Services on specific projects, provide expert witness statements and court attendance, manage workload effectively, enforce Revenue Protection Warrants, and support debt warrant activity such as installing prepayment meters or disconnecting supplies.

You will produce detailed investigation reports suitable for court evidence, ensure all gas work complies with current regulations and ScottishPower processes, manage stock levels for efficient first-visit completion, and make autonomous on-site decisions regarding confirmed energy theft. The role also involves engagement with external parties including other suppliers, courts, emergency services, and industry associations. Additionally, you will act as a mentor to new colleagues within the team and wider business.
