About the Role
Join SP Energy Networks (SPEN) and be part of a pioneering team delivering the 2030 transmission network targets set by the Scottish and UK Governments. As a Senior PMO Analyst within the SPT Strategic Portfolio, you will support the governance framework and reporting dashboards for a £2.4 billion portfolio of new overhead lines and upgraded substations. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the transition to NetZero by developing and delivering innovative engineering solutions for transmission networks (132kV and above). You will collaborate with diverse stakeholders across SPEN, the Iberdrola Group, and external bodies, gaining exposure to a wide range of responsibilities at a pivotal time in the energy sector.
Your key responsibilities will include working closely with Project Managers and cross-functional teams to gather and validate project data, preparing and delivering insightful PowerBI reports and dashboards, maintaining the PMO SharePoint site, supporting governance meetings, and ensuring high data quality standards. You will analyse project and portfolio data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement, facilitate planning sessions, support stakeholder engagement, and contribute to the continuous improvement of PMO processes and tools. This role also involves producing ad-hoc reports and supporting the development of PMO maturity through best practices and training.
Experience
- Proven experience in developing PowerBI dashboards and management reports
- Experience working in a multi-project environment with time-constrained deadlines
- Familiarity with governance processes, PMO tools, templates, and reporting standards
- Experience coordinating governance meetings, documenting actions, and producing reports for leadership
- Competent in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Power BI
- Experience developing PowerApps tools to facilitate project-level reporting
